911

"Is this the residence of Duane Summers? Someone from this number just called 911." How many times have I heard those familiar words spoken, let me count the ways or children is more like it. Let's start with Ben, 10 months old, playing with the phone. Oops, 911! Jack, 4 years old, after a lesson from Miss Shari about safety, comes home and calls 911. Let me add I think he is my only child to deliberately dial those infamous numbers. And now my sweet little Miss Em has joined the likes of Butch Cassidy and the Sun dance Kid. How is it possible that she has already joined the dark side? All my babies at some point make the plunge, but Miss Emma, you could have stayed sweet a little bit longer, sigh. She does have this weird tongue thing, I guess she was destined to join.

LOL oh Becky just what you needed. At least you know that they respond if you need them! Been there done that a few times too... just lucky Isabelle can't use a phone so I think I am over that phase.

How is it that they always seem to find those three little numbers? They're not even next to each other on the key pad.

Guess which one of mine has done it...yep, my little man Cameron! At my Mom and Dad's house in Tx. Mom said to the operator, "No, no one here would have called." She forgets how the mind of a 5 year-old boy works!

Oh Becky,
I have been there too. My oldest was babysitting my younger children and they wouldn't listen so she called. I get home about 3 minutes later and the police show up, take a walk through my house to make sure all is good and then chatted with the kiddos not to do that again. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

That has never happened to me, knock on wood. Did you discover it by the telephone or by a knock on the door?
