Tonight I was given a simple, quick reminder. Molly called me outside to watch a summer thunderstorm roll in, the clouds, the lightening, the deep yellowy orange, it was such beauty.
The storm only took around 20 minutes from start to finish, short and sweet and to the point. I watched the rain start, the wind pick up and the girls giggle with excitement as they danced in the rain getting soaked to the bone.
But it wasn't until the clouds parted and I thought of this classic quote about weathering storms, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass......

...... It's about learning to dance in the rain.", that I truely got the simple lessons from my Father in Heaven.
1. Don't wait, live your life now.
2.Enjoy each and every moment.
3.Get wet in the rain, chilled to the bone.
4.Wrap up in a blanket and cuddle with your kids.
5.At the end of the storm beauty is waiting, peace is waiting.
6.The storm ALWAYS does pass.
I love simplicity. Sometimes He just has to let it rain to remind me of all the simple things in life.

Nancy Blamires here...Becky, that is so perfect! We were out in that storm last night waiting in cars to see what it would bring and hoping for a quick resolution so we could enjoy fireworks we had saved from the fourth to share with Derek and his family and Ami in from Arizona. We eventually gave up on that, but oh my, what a show we enjoyed from the sky itself! There were problems getting back to the house with flash flooding in the streets but eventually all was well! Thanks for pointing out those beautiful concepts.
it was a very beautiful storm!
I really needed to read this today. As I sit here with tears, just needing the hope that it does get better. Everyday is a struggle right now that I don't always show to the whole world on my blog. We need the storm to subside for us, I feel like I've taken all I can handle.
Awesome, Becky!
"This too shall pass" always one of my favorite quotes. We'll miss those midwest storms!
And just for a laugh, I just looked down and saw my word verification for the day is "poopina". :)
Good advice´s! Love them.
Enjoy the summer! :D
