Am I off my rocker? You don't have to answer that!

This morning I was just saying to my mom how much I have missed blogging. The ease and fun has not come as easily as of late. The joyful moments in my life have been slipping away because of my inability to think, type, and just find humor. Don't take this the wrong way, I have been laughing, but tears have been more prevalent.
Last night I listened to Hannah have a conversation with the wind, laughter felt good, smiling was nice. So when I read this quote by Marjorie Pay Hinckley I knew it wasn't a coincidence that I read it today.
"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache."
I've had a headache a lot lately. The wheels started to turn and smoke started to billow from my brain, crying cannot take up the majority of my emotions, I need to laugh more, need to have more fun with my monkeys. My Ben tried to convince me yesterday that we needed a marshmallow gun. Yesterday I wasn't to convinced. Today, well today I think I need to make an investment in my mental well being and buy a few of these bad boys. Want to play?

No one brings everything into perspective for me like Sister Hinckley! I adore her. I think the marshmallow gun is a fabulous idea...only because you have the carbohalic dog to eat all of the marshmallows off the ground

Great post! Love the gun that would be a blast. I too have been a weepy willow and I don't like being that way. Praying for you to have much much more laughter come to you. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Are those hand air pumped? We were given some homemade ones in which you blow the mallow out. It became a wet, sticky mallowy mess. Just wondering.
You're definitely not off your rocker, especially if you have some good targets at which to shoot the mallows! ;)

I always thought it looked like fun. You can't get too injured being hit by marshmallows, but then again the eyes are rather sensitive. I needed that quote as well, thanks for it!!

I want to buy one of these for my youngest. What a cool thing. (outside of course!)

Definitely a sweet idea, thanks Ben! I hope they're not too hard to load and they shot pretty well! My Jacob has been on a gun kick lately and we really don't have any toy guns, so maybe this would do the trick. I hate tear jerker headaches (that's what I call them), it's so much better to laugh!

Becky, I'm a friend of your brother-in-law, Darrell. I began reading your blog when I first learned about Duane in one of Darrell's e-mails a while back. Anyway, this post caught my eye because I got our Cub Scout Pack to make home-made versions of these marshmallow blasters for a big event that we sponsored and they were a huge hit with the kids. I will send Darrell a couple of handouts that show how to make these out of PVC pipe for less than $2 each. (Hopefully he can forward them to you because I'm not sure how to send them to you directly.) They really are a lot of fun! Hang in there ... from what I've read, you are an incredible person and your family is lucky to have you in their lives! --Dan
