My Joy Through Our Sorrow

"I have a family here on earth. They are so good to me. I want to share my life with them through all eternity.
Families can be together forever

Through Heavenly Fathers plan.

I always want to be with my own family,

And the Lord has shown me how I can. The Lord, has shown me how I can."
Children's Songbook, pg 188

Becky, I visited Duane this morning for a short time and his mom told me about the kids' awards!!! How great! You must be so proud! I got to meet your brither in law and was amazed at the resemblence to Duane..the same mannerisms. As always, we are praying.

I don't think we understand what a profound blessing our knowledge of the plan of salvation is until we are faced with a trial such as this. We love you, and continue to pray for your strength.

My family is singing this tonight:

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord, "My Refuge,
My Rock in Whom I trust."

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear;
Under His Wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Though thousands fall about you,
Near you it shall not come.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
For to His angels He's given a command,
To guard you in all of your ways,
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

We love you, Duane.

I wish I had something great to say, but the whole thing just sucks. I hate it. I can accept it but I don't have to like it and I never will.
I would do anything to take this away. I love you and I love Duane and I love the kids. Call me anytime for anything.

Becky--It sounds, from other's comments that Duane is "gone". Would love to know. I was going to sneak down there for his services (I only live four hours away.) Again, thoughts and prayers! I know we've never even met, but I feel that kind of kindred spirit thing with you and would love to be there for you!
